Sippin’ & Stitchin’
has one goal to spread our love for the textile arts in a fun, accessible way
After a few curious friends asked to learn, Lea hosted wine and stitch nights on her living room floor. After realizing how much she enjoyed hosting events, Sippin’ & Stitchin’ was born and we went on to formally host and collaborate with local spots. Since then, we’ve continue to expand to other major cities across the US. We can’t believe that we get to share what we love and call it our job!Whether we’re creating a wall hanging, custom-stitched patches or up-cycling clothing, S&S aims to harness creativity in a fun, laid-back environment where all feel welcome. We offer public and private events as well as beginner-friendly kits and supplies.
Lea Saccomanno is a multidisciplinary textile artist as well as the owner of Sippin’ & Stitchin’. Originally taught by her grandmother, she’s been practicing for over fifteen years. She’s been involved in multiple art shows as well as hosting her own. When she’s not stitching, she’s probably hanging with her dog Luna or making pasta :)

“I have wanted to try this at for a long time. This was such a great introduction to thread painting! It was so fun, and stress free. The instructor was great and I'm hoping to continue to learn and practice this new art. I would be interested in taking another class sometime.”

“I had a delightful time at the Sippin & Stichin embroidery journal event! I now know how to do 3 different stitches and have been making the cutest little embroidered icons. I really appreciated the high level of organization, the kits we received has everything we needed. The small group instruction was perfect for the project and I made some new friends!”
